Southon Dam Busters Spring Camp 2008 2-5 May
The winning patrol was Wacky Woodpeckers.
SCOUT STAR

Southon Spring (Dam Busters) Camp 2nd to 5th May 2008
Activities will include pioneering across the stream, oven cooking, moth hunt, star watching, wide games, camping, camp games, campfire, loads of cooking, chatting around wood fires, etc.
The theme of the camp is Dam Busters.
When and Where
On Wednesday 30th April Patrol Leaders and Assistant Patrol Leaders
will meet at the Scout HQ at 5:45pm to assist with the transport of equipment to site and then choose their patrol camp sites.
On Thursday 1st May patrols will meet at Morrisons at 6pm to buy their patrol’s food for the weekend.
Arrive at camp at 6 PM on Friday 2nd May and we finish at 12 midday on Monday 5th May.

Kit list
Rucksack or bag you can carry, sun headgear, old trainers (that don't mind getting wet), socks and spare socks, shorts (essential), spare trousers, spare T-shirt, spare shirt, spare sweat shirt, long sleeved shirt, spare underclothes, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, waterproof anorak, sun protection cream, torch and spare batteries, drinking water bottle, plates, mug, knife, fork and spoon. Camp seat. Old tea towel. Plastic bag for dirty clothing. Swimming wear and towel.
Completed Permission to Camp to be handed in with your deposit before camp.
We will travel there in full uniform and on return journey, plus uniform will be worn at scout’s own.
Mobiles, radios, personal stereos, ipods and electronic games are not allowed. Aerosols are also banned.
Scouts may bring sheath knives or penknives, training in usage will be provided.
Transport
We need parents to assist with transport the Patrol’s camping equipment to and from the camp.
Costs
Cost is £30 per person for food and equipment, cheques payable to 1st Crowborough Scouts.
No pocket money will be required.
